News You can Use:

Let’s knit together again!

First, this summer will the the first “Around Your Neck” KAL. We will be knitting along with the Suburban Stitcher Podcast during the months of June to August and encourage you to double and triple dip with the many other KAL going on during this time namely Stash Dash and the SSK kals hosted by the Knitgirllls podcast and PALKAL hosted by the Actually Knitting podcast. You can earn extra points for our KAL by using Must Stash yarn and/or Suburban Stitcher bags so stay tuned for more information!

And second, there will be an unofficial Dark Side kal going on in the Must Stash yarn group on Ravelry. Let’s cast on DSOM original or EPV into a hat, cowl, scarf or socks. If you were part of the School of Stash, then this is a great way to reinforce those new heels you just learned or cast on something new. Don’t worry if you already have DSOM on the needles because you can join in too. Since it’s an unofficial kal all projects are welcome to join in! Check out the kal chat thread in the yarn Rav group.

Coming Soon:

I have received a promo kit from Elegant Economy Knits for her new pattern collection Date Night. I will be showing it off on a podcast very soon and giving you all the wonderful details but I encourage you to check it out here as she has a coupon code for purchasing the collection “datenightbundle” which will save you $7 and 100% of the post-Paypal proceeds for the Peaceful Pullover go to a charitable cause; a suddenly widowed friend of the designer who has 4 children.

Stacie is knitting:

  • Broken Seed Stitch Socks in Must Stash Ritz “Koi” and “Pond”
  • Another shop sample in a possible new base which is a Sport weight 100% Polwarth

Stacie finished knitting:

A new pattern by a Stasher, Punkin97, called Yoshi Has It has been released. It is a neat sock pattern so I invite you to check it out.

As mentioned above, PALKAL is a summer KAL hosted by the Actually Knitting podcast from June 1st to September 1st in which you show your support for podcasters who are Indie dyers or designers by knitting with their yarn and/or patterns. It was a lot of fun last year so check out her Rav group here!

Last week Steph made the announcement that she will no longer be a regular part of the podcast and this may have not been a shock to most of you but I would like to thank our wonderful Ravelry group for their outpouring of support and love! Steph and I have both received so many lovely notes and you all have to know how much that means to each of us! Steph will certainly be missed but I am proud of my friend for making this hard choice and doing what she knows is right for her and her family. I love you, Steph!
