I have been gifted a few patterns lately and I would like to openly thank each of you and invite my Stashers to check out these awesome patterns. Handbrake by Kay Jones of the Bakery Bears podcast gifted to me by wizzknits. Handbrake is a unisex cowl released to raise money for Cancer Research and all of the proceeds will go to that cause. From This Day Forward by Ashley Knowlton gifted to me by Jessiearim is a seamless cardigan worked from the bottom up with a deep scoop neck and simple but effective lace collar. Inside-Out Hypnosis by Aure´lie Colas gifted to me by the designer herself is a beautiful sock pattern which would be great for any kind of sock yarn even those hard to use splashy variegated skeins. Postgrad by Alicia Plummer gifted to me by udontcallmeles is a open front cardigan that is slightly slouchy, slightly preppy.
Furthermore, I received a wonderful surprise from Renee who is Lowland Originals. Thanks you Renee for the lovely needle cases for me and Steph!! They are beautiful!
News You can Use:
Let’s knit together again!
This Friday, May 1st we will kick off our unofficial Dark Side kal going on in the Must Stash Yarn group on Ravelry. Let’s cast on DSOM original or EPV into a hat, cowl, scarf or socks. If you were part of the School of Stash, then this is a great way to reinforce those new heels you just learned or cast on something new. Don’t worry if you already have DSOM on the needles because you can join in too. Since it’s an unofficial kal all projects are welcome to join in! Check out the kal chat thread in the yarn Rav group.
Then starting June 1st and running through August we will be knitting along with the Suburban Stitcher Podcast during the months of June to August and encourage you to double and triple dip with the many other KAL going on during this time namely Stash Dash and the SSK kals hosted by the Knitgirllls podcast and PALKAL hosted by the Actually Knitting podcast. You can earn extra points for our KAL by using Must Stash yarn and/or Suburban Stitcher bags so pop over here to see all the details! Please join the SS podcast group (if you haven’t already) to join in all the chatter over there.
In addition to these KALs, we will have a mini skein swap starting soon in the Podcast group! Have leftover Indie yarn that you just can’t throw out? So do a lot of Stashers! More information coming soon.
And if that’s not enough…who wants to be a Roadie? Must Stash is taking it on the road with the first ever Summer Concert Tour. Our first tour band is Pink Floyd! The Great Gig tour will go on sale in May and the first skein will be none other than the infamous Dark Side. You can order your Dark Side in either Original or EPV just to keep it fresh! For June the skein will be inspired by Wish You Were Here and September will round out the collection with the iconic The Wall inspired skein. In addition to these three skeins, you can purchase an original Must Stash Summer Concert T-shirt to commemorate your Roadie experience!
